DO I NEED VISA?
You will need a visa along with your passport to enter the country. Ghana visas are issued at the Ghana Consulate in Washington DC and sometimes on arrival in Ghana. You have the option of getting a single or multiple-entry visa. Please see details on obtaining your visa below:
DO I NEED VACCINATION?
The Yellow fever vaccination is the only vaccine required to enter the country of Ghana. After receiving the yellow fever vaccination, you should receive a yellow card confirming your vaccination. Along with your passport and visa, you must have your yellow card with you to enter the country of Ghana.
If you’re unable to get vaccinated due to medical reasons, please consult with your primary care provider about your options. Furthermore, consult with your primary care provider regarding any additional travel vaccinations. As an option, local travel clinics may be able to assist with travel vaccinations. Check with your medical insurance regarding any travel vaccinations that may be covered. The CDC has stated there is a yellow fever vaccination shortage. We recommend obtaining your yellow fever vaccination soon.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY HOTEL ITINERARY?
Specific 4-star hotel accommodation will be received within 3 weeks of the trip with our trip packages and details.
WHAT TO TAKE WITH ME?
Valid passport, visa, and proof of yellow fever immunization should accompany travelers before departure. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months before the departure date. An email copy of the itinerary and suggested packing list will be sent after your experience is paid in full.
CAN I ADD ADDITIONAL PEOPLE TO MY ROOM?
Yes, if you need a roommate, select the two-person package and email us contactus@abrownplanning.com and let us know if you are open to co-ed sharing or not; we will assign one for you.
We recommend only selecting the 3 or 4-person package if you KNOW your roommates already, or you’re open to sharing with strangers. With that being said, if we aren’t able to match you, you will be required to pay the difference between the packages. Two-person packages are the easiest for us to match.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ROOMMATE CANCELS?
If the roommate you selected cancels, your rate will adjust to the revised (single/double/triple person) rate or you can replace them. Any cancellations within 60 days of the event are your responsibility, however, we will try our hardest to help you replace them.
If ABrown Planning matched you with a roommate, and that roommate cancels, we would try to replace the individual, or we would take responsibility for the cost (your cost will NOT change.)
